Cost-plus draws from QuickBooks. In 15 minutes, not 15 hours.
JobCFO turns the bills, expenses, timesheets and payroll already in QuickBooks into the owner invoice: markup by cost type, fees and GMP caps applied, and every receipt merged into one backup package.

How it works
The draw your bookkeeper builds in Excel, built from QuickBooks.
Exporting job reports, adding markups, checking the GMP and merging PDF receipts into a binder takes 8 to 20 hours a month. JobCFO does it from the data you already keep.
Connect QuickBooks
Sign in with Intuit. JobCFO reads your company: no exports, no new workflow for your field team or vendors.
Confirm your setup once
JobCFO finds how you track jobs and suggests a cost type for every expense account. You confirm, and set markups, fees and caps per contract.
Generate the draw
Pick the period. Review costs by type, with receipts beside them, and post the owner invoice to QuickBooks with its backup package attached.
Your setup, not ours
However you track jobs in QuickBooks, JobCFO finds them.
Some builders use sub-customers, some use QuickBooks Projects, some use classes or locations. JobCFO counts which one actually tags your costs and proposes it. You confirm per contract, and mixed setups work too.

Markup by cost type
No cost codes needed. Your chart of accounts already knows.
Each expense account or item maps to one cost type, suggested for you and confirmed once. Then set the contract: 10% on subs, 15% on materials, labor at bill rates, a percentage or fixed fee, and a GMP or not-to-exceed cap. JobCFO applies it to every draw and shows when a cap starts trimming the fee.
Labor and burden
Payroll cost, however it reaches QuickBooks.
Labor is the hardest part of a cost-plus draw. JobCFO reads it from any of the four ways builders record it, and bills it at agreed hourly rates or at actual cost plus burden.
QuickBooks Payroll with project tracking
Wages, employer taxes and workers’ comp by employee and job, read from QuickBooks payroll reports.
Payroll journal entries
ADP, Paychex, Gusto or Rippling entries posted by job: one entry per employee, tagged to the project, sub-customer, class or location.
QuickBooks timesheets
Billable hours × the agreed bill rate, or × cost rate plus burden for open-book contracts. Non-billable time stays out.
Per-employee split
One payroll entry per employee, split across active jobs by percentage, or by the hours on their timesheets.
Backup package and owner portal
Every receipt, in order, in one PDF.
The backup is built from the attachments already on your QuickBooks bills and expenses: cover, cost summary, ledger, labor detail, then each vendor invoice, bookmarked. Owners get a link to review the draw and its backup online, and the invoice posts to QuickBooks with the PDF attached.

FAQ
Questions builders and bookkeepers ask
Do we have to change how we use QuickBooks?
No. JobCFO reads the bills, expenses, timesheets and payroll entries already in QuickBooks, organized the way you already track jobs: customers, sub-customers, QuickBooks Projects, classes or locations. Your field team and vendors change nothing.
How does markup work without cost codes?
Each QuickBooks expense account (or product/service item) maps once to a cost type: labor, burden, materials, subcontract, equipment or other. JobCFO suggests the mapping from your account names and types, and you confirm it once. Markup, fees and caps are set per contract and per cost type, and any single line can be overridden.
What goes in the backup package?
A cover page, a cost summary by type, a detailed cost ledger, labor detail by employee, and every receipt and vendor invoice attached in QuickBooks, merged into one PDF with bookmarks. Missing receipts are flagged before you send.
Can a cost get billed twice?
No. JobCFO keeps a ledger of every cost line it has billed. If a bill changes in QuickBooks after it was billed, the difference shows up as an adjustment on the next draw instead of being billed again.
Does JobCFO write to QuickBooks?
Only when you post a draw: it creates the owner invoice and attaches the backup PDF. Everything else is read-only.
What does a draw count as?
One owner invoice generated for one contract. Unlimited bills, expenses and attachments per draw, unlimited users, and the owner portal link are included on every plan.
